Attachment stifles growth. When we focus our attention onto what has already physically come into being, our energy stays with the old, and we inhibit the flow of energy towards that which is waiting to be enjoyed. When there is fear causing us to cling onto something, in grasping onto what already is, we restrict our growth by saddling ourselves with the weight of the old, like a ball and chain around our energetic ankles. The paradigm shift can only occur when we release the old attachment. The more attachment we can release, the faster the new experience flows toward us.
